Description of my issue:
I am attempting to restore a site from 2.5.4 because it was compromised. I have used the .jpa file and then upgraded the site to 2.5.11 with the core joomla updater. however, after doing that I got a message in Akeeba Backup that my database was corrupt and that I should delete the component and reinstall it. Upon reinstalling it I receive a 403 error (access denied) when trying to access Akeeba Backup. I've tried fixing the permissions with Admin Tools, but still get the same result. if I try to load the newest version of Akeeba Backup, I get an error in the extension manager that says: There was an error uploading this file to the server.
is there anything I can do? my php is 5.3 mysql is MySQL 5.1
thank you in advance
