Mandatory information about my setup:

Joomla! version: 2.5.11
PHP version: 5.3.22
MySQL version: 5.1.68-cll
Host: Rochen
Akeeba Backup version: 3.7.7

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue: This is a new problem, backup has always worked. Other sites backup fine. I searched the tickets and couldn't find an answer. Recently I tightened security with Admin Tools. Not sure if that could be it, I'll check.

Thank you.

It's unrelated to Admin Tools. It's either of these:

1. You have set up an extra database through the "Multiple Database Definitions" feature of Akeeba Backup but the connection details are wrong and cause it to fail; or you have set up the site's database as an extra database and your host refuses to let PHP connect to the same database twice. In both cases delete the extra database. In the latter case additionally note that Akeeba Backup will automatically back up the main site database and you don't need (and must not) define it as an extra database.

2. It is possible that your database user is not granted the SHOW privilege. This makes it impossible for Akeeba Backup to produce a listing of your database tables and it fails.

I can't tell from the log which one it is.

Thank you. It was a second database that it could not connect to. I had migrated this site from another host and did not update the config in Akeeba Backup for the second database in Multiple Databases. I did that and it works fine now.
