Description of my issue:

I have on going problem extracting large sites. When the site is less than 2Gb Backup/Restore works fine. I have on site backup which is around 5Gb and when I extract the backup locally only few folders get extracted. No errors nothing. I use Extract Wizard 3.3

This doesn't happen only to one site but few other. I tried everything possible but can't figure out what is wrong. When making a backup I see no errors.

I attached a backup log, however you might need to look for particular website as I keep all backup files from different sites in one folder. The problematic site is www.younglivingconnection.com

I hope this is enough information. The backup file is about 5Gb so if you need to download it I can make it available somewhere.

This problem happens with files which are 2Gb or less in size as well. The only case when Restoration works is when I disable all extra (non Joomla folders) and the size is around 200-300Mb. By extra folders I mean folders where I keep additional files (downloads, mp3, images, pdf and zip files). When I exclude those folders the backup seem to be smaller and then restore works. Unfortunately most of my sites are more than 2-3Gb in size and some are 6-10Gb. This same problem happens with multiple sites. I tried to limit the JPA size to even 1Gb and it did not help, so there must be some other reason for the problem.

Ath the moment I have an urgent situation, because on of installed extenstions completely crashed my site. It is down and I have several hundred registered users, can't afford for this site to be down fo long time. Unfortunately I cannot extract it.

One other suggestion. When running a backup configuration wizard I just let the wizard to configure all the settings, then I run a backup right after. This is how the 5Gb file was created, so if we should not use files larger than 2Gb the wizard should not allow to use unlimited size. The HostGator where I keep my site isa Linux based server and I run PHP5.3 so from what you saying even the large files should be handled fine. I suspect it is rather the Extraction Wizard problem and perhaps the backup set is fine.

I think I've seen some info on emergency extraction/restoration on your site but cannot find it. Can you tell me if I can use it in this case and where to look for instructions if so?
