Ah, Strato... with the amazingly undocumented feature of killing scripts when they try to create files over 10Mb. Here's the deal. Go to the configuration page and find the archiver engine row. Now click on configure next to it. Set the part size for split archives to 10Mb and retry a backup. Success?

Thank you Nicholas. Where exactly have I to change the entry? I have the German version and I don't know where the "archiver engine row" is. Is it under the "Quota Verwaltung"? There I have changed the quota of 15 to 50, but no success.

My German is abysmally bad, so I can't really tell you the exact label :( The Archiver Engine row is where you can select between the JPA format, ZIP format and so on. Does that help?
