Mandatory information about my setup:

Joomla! version: (3.1.0)
PHP version: (5.3)
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Akeeba Backup version: (3.7.6 core)

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

Hi

I've just upgraded from Joomla 3.0 to J3.1.0 and Akeeba Backup is producing a blank page
when I click on "http://southcoastoutboards.co.uk/administrator/index.php?option=com_akeeba" (ie, Components => Akeeba Backup in the backend).

My log files reveal the following:

PHP Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/sites/southcoastoutboards.co.uk/public_html/libraries/joomla/updater/adapters/extension.php on line 97, referer: http://southcoastoutboards.co.uk/administrator/index.php

I've cleared the cache and tried reinstalling the component twice (without uninstalling in the meantime as advised in one of your posts), but this hasn't solved the problem.

Thanks for your help

Regards

Tim

Hello Tim,

Please extract the installation package locally. You will see a directory named "fof".

Now log in to your site's FTP server and navigate inside the libraries directory of the site. You will see a folder named "fof" there too. Delete it.

Next up, upload the "fof" directory you extracted in the first step inside your site's libraries directory with the FTP programme.

If this still doesn't help, you will have to uninstall and reinstall Akeeba Backup 3.7.6 (important! do not use 3.7.5) on your site.

Hi Nicholas

Thanks a lot for that: I ended up reinstalling 3.7.6 and now it works fine.

Regards

Tim

PS: I'm not sure about your French, but I think you can now safely say that your English is "excellent" ;-)
