Mandatory information about my setup:

Joomla! version: 2.59
PHP version: 5.4
MySQL version: 5.5
Host: Ubuntu 12.10
Akeeba Backup version: latest

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

Just used your new Angie for a restore. I encountered one error I would like to mention:

It did put back the whole DB but in the configuration.php it left the old DB settings. Everything else worked fine afterwards.

I want some more information to help.

How did you extract the backup archive? FTP? Direct PHP file writes?

Did you have multiple databases or one?

Thank you for the feedback!

Sorry Nicholas, little time, fighting deadlines and fighting IE10 :-(

In short: using kickstarter 3.6 pro, extract directly, no errors. All screens run fine including restoring the DB to the new location, just when it ends with the green screen going to de site (after deleting the install folder) it hangs.

I checked the configuration.php and the tmp and log dirs were set correctly but funny enough not the db settings.

After I manually corrected them everything worked. I have repeated the install 2 times with the same result.

The backup came from a different server with a different DB host. (not local)

Now just did it on an IIS8 server, same one I took the backup from with PHP 5.4.12 and MYSQL 5.5.

Same happens. No time yet to redo the backup but it seemed good to let you know the results. No help needed.

The backup is 220 mb but I am willing to put it in my dropbox for you if that helps. (need a private ticket than)

Thanks for the nice work.

I'm just wondering if it left the old db connection information or if the db info is blank. I'd like to be able to reproduce this.
