I think it comes from Webcron parameters which I'm using to lunch my backups.
The warning logged in your backup log definitely does not come from WebCron parameters. A failed backup can come from that. You need to set up the maximum execution time of the WebCron cron job to be higher than the time required to backup your site.
Akeeba Backup sends an email when the back up is good, but it would be nice to get a mail even when the backup fails. Except that, your software is incredibly helpfull. Thanks a lot.
Impossible. When a backup fails it means that the PHP execution was halted for some reason. Since PHP has stopped executing I cannot have the PHP script which has stopped executing send an email. If that was a catchable error it would have been caught and worked around. So, no, that's impossible.
