PHP version: 5.3.21
MySQL version: 5.1.66-log
Host: www.netsons.com
Akeeba Backup version: akeeba backup pro

Description of my issue:

I can not access the control panel of Akeeba Backup Pro
the page is still waiting for a few minutes
then exits:
500 internal server error. timeout

by joomla control panel click on "backup is up-to-date" and it works
I can create a new backup
I can go on backup administration
but if I click on the control panel after a few minutes take
500 internal server error. timeout

What can I do?

Your host is blocking access to cdn.akeebabackup.com, making it impossible to poll for updated versions, leading to the error you mentioned. Please ask your host to allow your site to access to cdn.akeebabackup.com.
