Forgive the crossposting but can't create in the proper section due to no payed access, but this is kind of a bug report.

I just got notified there was a new update for akeebasubs via the live update icon. I clicked on it and was greeted with the "download id in component parameters". I've checked https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/akeeba-subscriptions/updating.html and the pdf file extensively but i can't find ANYWHERE where to enter the download id. By clicking on "options" after selecting the component, i can only see the following under the liveupdate tab.

Options which affect Live Update's behaviour

  • Minimum stability (stable etc)

but no field to enter my subscription ID. Only way to update is via direct update from the zip file through the extension manager. Am i going blind or is there really no field to enter the ID like there is in Akeebabackup

You should only need to enter a Download ID if you have Admin Tools Professional. This is unlikely, as you don't have an ATPRO or AKEEBADELUXE subscription. Moreover, what you describe regarding the Options page reminds me of a very old version of Admin Tools. I would suggest doing a manual upgrade of Admin Tools Core: download the new version and install it on your site on top of the old one, using the Joomla! Extensions Manager. This will take care of the update.

That ATC upgrade won't be needed, by what you're saying i just downloaded the wrong version ;) I'll do a manual install of 2.5.1 :) Then wait for the next version to see if i can use liveupdate

That's right, akeeba subs, and it asked for a "username / pw or id in component parameters" aswell to use live update just like akeebabackups needs. So it does seem like there is a bug in AS, asking for an id?

Please ignore it and upgrade manually to 2.5.1.
