Subject: Re: ITPrism Members Club: could not install
Hi Gerhard,
I found the problem. It cames from the extensions Akeeba Backup.
I turned on Joomla! debug and I tried to install ITPShare. The system displayed this message.

Fatal error: Call to undefined method SimpleXMLElement::count() in /home/tulipeu/public_html/administrator/components/com_akeeba/plugins/models/installer.php on line 291

What you can do?
1. You can send a message to Akeeba support center and report this issue. When the issue is fixed you will be able to install ITPShare.

You have to disable the System - System Restore Points plugin. This feature is only compatible with PHP 5.3.3 or later. Since you are using PHP 5.2.17 you can't use this feature. It's not possible fixing it for PHP 5.2 without breaking it for PHP 5.3 and 5.4. PHP 5.2 has been end of life since January 2011, almost two years ago. This is a VERY long time. It is considered insecure and should not be used on live sites. We are going to drop support for PHP 5.2 very soon. I recommend upgrading your site to PHP 5.3.
