Description of my issue:

Hello,

I have a website developed in Joomla version 2.5.8 on windows vista.

I built my website with the Akeeba Backup component 3.6.9.

I made a backup of my local site to a remote hosting provider (OVH) on a sub-domain of my space.

After a few small changes, testing went well.

I did another backup (with Akeeba Backup) of this website testing and I reinstalled my space on its website that will be my final online version.

I redid all the tests and I realize that the final version does not work well on some displays.

You can see the link on my website test:
http://test.la-gentilhommiere-de-normandie.com/index.php/fr/chambre-hote-charme-giverny-livre-d-or.html
the display is correct.

You can see the link on my final online version:
http://cluster006.ovh.net/~lagentil/index.php/fr/chambre-hote-charme-giverny-livre-d-or.html
the display is wrong.

Both versions are on the same space of my host.
Both versions have the same templates.
The two versions both have the same modules with the same update.

I do not understand why they do not work the same way.

In waiting of your help.

Best regards.

You are using a temporary URL (one which includes a tilde and your username, e.g. ~your_username in it). As we explain in our documentation we will not offer support for sites hosted on such URLs. We already know that Apache has serious problems with SEF URLs on those sites. Please note that this IS NOT a problem with Akeeba Backup, it IS NOT a problem with Joomla!, it IS NOT a problem with your .htaccess, it is a problem with Apache, the web server you use on your site, and ONLY when using temporary URLs. Assigning a proper domain name to the site will fix these issues. Please take my word for it. It's the 60th or so time I've replied to this question on this site's ticket system ;)
