Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (Admin Tools troubleshooting guide)? Yes
Have I searched the tickets before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (Kickstart)? Yes
Joomla! version: 1.5.26
PHP version: (5.3.8)
MySQL version: (5.5.16)
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Akeeba Backup version: (Professional 3.4.3)

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue: I have made a backup of a Joomla 1.5.26 live website using Akeeba Backup Professional 3.4.3 (2012-03-21). I then try to restore on my localhost using Akeeba Kickstart Professional 3.5.2. When this process is about 75% through it stops with the following message:

An error occured

Could not create administrator/D:/ folder

Start over Can't get it to work? Click me!   I have tried checking the box to Ignore errors but this made no difference. I have looked for the log file but cannot find one.

Did you click on the "Can't get it to work? Click me!" link and follow the instructions on that page?

If that doesn't work try using Akeeba eXtract Wizard (free download from our site) with its "Ignore most errors" options enabled (it's enabled by default).

If that doesn't work, go to your live site with an FTP programme and check the administrator directory. You will see a folder named D:. Yes, I know that's a drive letter, that's why the extraction on Windows dies. On your live Linux-based host "D:" is a perfectly valid folder name. The valid folder name disparity between live and local causes the problem. Still with me? OK. Delete that folder. You don't need it. This folder was most likely created when an archive extraction on the live server went awry. Now back up again your site and use the new archive.

You are an absolute star. I deleted the D: folder and all worked. I presume that it was the colon that actually caused the problem. I did click on the Can't get it to work button and tried some of the options but that didn't help.

I must just say that your contribution to the Joomla comunity with your products is deeply significant and I have very happily paid for the Pro versions. Brilliant software that works so well and your support is also great.
