The part size for split archives you are using seems to be too big for transfer within a reasonable amount of time. I suggest following the advice of our troubleshooting page, especially the last three paragraphs. I am stressing that because I suspect that the steps in the previous paragraphs have already been taken and there's a chance that reading through this page you might think that there is nothing new for you in there, missing the last three paragraphs which describe what is most likely necessary for your site.

Hi Nicholas

Thanks for the reply. It seems there are two pages relating to troubleshooting this problem (Akeeba Backup throws an AJAX Error and My backup files are not being uploaded to Amazon S3 and I'd only been through the first.

I've been through the second one now and got down to a part size of 1 with no success.

I'm probably doing something stupid.

Tanks for your assistance.
