Description of my issue:
On my own, and a couple of client sites, I found out (When you went to Joomla Day of course LOL) that the Database backups being generated by the cron are all empty! I am using Dropbox to move all the files to once complete and deleting local files. They show as 0kb and when opened are empty.

If I run the backup from the back end, they backup correctly, but when triggered by the cron they are empty. This is only happening to the Database files and not the JPA archives.

Any ideas? Running 3.5.1 on my site (Going to upgrade today hopefully) and 3.6.3 on my clients website. Glad I found out about this before I needed a backup for something!

You are using an outdated release of Akeeba Backup. Can you please try using the latest dev release? I need one more positive test result before releasing it as 3.6.6 stable. I have asked three people today to test it. Hopefully at leas one of you (ideally, all three of you) will come back with a positive result and I'll do the release tomorrow :)

I have completed testing this and it's working great now.

Two separate servers (HostGator and SiteLease.ca) generated multiple database files at 5min increments.

Thanks again!
