EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

I am trying to upload and install a new template file but continue to get the error attached.

I am in a bit of a panic as I am trying to make this site live based on a contractual requirement but cannot complete my update!

This error has nothing to do with Akeeba Backup, it usually means that your permissions are amiss. Please disable the "System - System Restore Points" plugin and retry the installation. This time there is none of our code running and you can see that the problem persists. You will have to fix the location and permissions of your tmp directory. Maybe our installation troubleshooting instructions will help you.

Hi thanks.. I solved it by making another template the default.. deleted the old one and re-uploading it and then making it the default again and then I had no error.

The error only occurred when I tried to upload and instal a new version of the default template. It worked fine up to the Akeeba Backup process then as that completed I got the error.

yes, removing the template also removes its folders, which does work around permissions issues.
