Joomla! version: 2.5.6
PHP version: 5.3.9
MySQL version: 5.5.16

Akeeba Backup version: 3.6.5 (2012-09-14)

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

My backup using command line scheduled with cron is being aborted after two minutes of execution.
max_execution_time is 300 and memory_limit is 256. The size of the backup files is over 2GB.

Any idea? The log message is:

[121001 00:31:58] The process was aborted on user's request

The log file is attached.

Thanks for your help.

Your host is imposing a maximum execution time restriction on CRON jobs. Please ask them to increase that limit, otherwise you will not be able to run a backup through a CRON job.

Is this a setting for cron, or does it follow the PHP max_execution_time?

It has nothing to do with php.ini. This is something which has to do with CRON.
