Description of my issue:
We have just upgraded to Akeeba pro edition, and would like to use the automated email function, therefore we tried to access the "profile manegement" section of the control panel - but when clicking the "Configure" button next to any of the backup profiles we get a 404 error

Huh! That's a strange URL :s I am pretty sure this isn't what the code produces. Well, there are some good news: you don't need to click on that button. Go to Akeeba Backup's main page. There is a dropdown list above the buttons. Select your profile and click on Switch Profile. The page reloads and says that the profile has been changed. Now click on Configuration; you can now configure that particular profile. Rinse and repeat for all profiles.

FYI the button in the Profiles page was an afterthought, a feature recently added. It merely switches the profile and loads the Configuration page, without you having to go to the Control Panel page at all. There is no special functionality on that button.

Hi Nicolas,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, it seems like a really strange URL for me too, that why I toke contact to you guys, if you want a full working copy of our entire joomla installation, or just want to take a look on a direct copy deployed on one of our test servers - please let me know.

///// Edit:
Never mind, me who was completely blind - but I would add a quick little description to the top of the manual for setting up remote post procession - just to make it easier for people.
Any way, thanks for a great component Nicolas! Great work, and please let us know if you will ever need some hosting power - we are ready to support your great work!

I would think that the URL gets screwed up by something running on the browser side. I'm just not sure what that could be...

Regarding the send to email feature, I try not to advertise it much. On most sites I've seen you have to use really small part sizes (around 1-2Mb) for the archive to be deliverable by email. This is too small to be practical on anything but very small blogs.
