Description of my issue:
Hi,

I have been setting up all my sites to backup to S3. This works fine once configured and tested in the backend, I then setup my cron jobs. I have noticed that a few of the jobs will run and then stop. Checking my settings I notice that "Data processing engine" resets to no processing, I also notice at times the "Backup archive name" also resets to its last value. I have re-entered these a few times, all looks good then a few days later they reset.

I have attached logs from two example sites i have this issue with. Looking at the logs from the command line I have multiple errors and this maybe due to cron timing out? So I may have two issues here? As far as im aware I have no time limit applied to cron.

Do let me know if there is any more info I can provide.

Many thanks

The only way the settings can reset is if something resets the contents of the #__ak_profiles table. I'm quite certain this isn't due to a bug; I have my backup profiles on this site set up three years ago and haven't had to create them afresh, ever. Quite the same thing with all of my other sites, really. I have experienced CRON job failures due to various causes, but not once did I have profiles reset on me.

Hello Nicholas,

Yes, this is very new to me too and only started happening (as far as im aware) when I migrated my sites to a new server in AWS. Yes, this may not be a bug but my configuration or maybe a bug related to my configuration.

#__ak_profiles table - are you aware of any other customers who have had this table reset? Any suggestions on what could do this? Do logs provide any insight?

Cron - Do the logs provide any insight on why the command line jobs failed?

Many thanks

I only had one client with one incident of his settings being reset and it was his host having a problem and restoring an older copy of the database. I never had someone with his profiles resetting all the time.

The logs don't give any insight as to why this could happen.
