EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
I try to postprocess my backup file to my personalcloud (Goflex Home)
I test all my connections ftp an with Filezilla I can transfer anything and with my browser also. In Akeebabackup Pro, the message says that the connection is correct but after my backup, I have a message that transfer fail.
I try to manage the archive after I read the ticket about that but it does not work also. I try all the options in the ticket about fail to postprocess to DropBox. But I do not want to use DropBox, I want to use my 3 TO hard disk.
Where can I try to correct this problem? If I can correct that ...

When checking the FTP connection the following are not checked:
- Initial directory
- Writeable status of the directory
- If you can use passive mode or not

I would suggest checking those options manually, especially the passive mode. Most FTP servers require passive mode.

Ok thank you very much. The problem was in my selection of the initial directory on my personal cloud. I correct this initial directory and bingo all works well.
All works very fine and well.
Thank you very much for your fast and correct answer.

I had another problem with another site with the same configuration.
The size of backup is 659.7 meg on my local cloud but when the backup ends on the site backend, in the window the backup archive is marked obsolete and the size is 629.16 megs.
The backup file on my personal cloud seems to be correct but I do not know why contrary at other sites (3) the file is indicated as obsolete.
I try to adjust the time at the end of the configuration page at 5 and 7.5 also 180 seconds and 100% but I do not know what is the good recipe for this site.
Can you help me about where I can change the parameters for this site?
I have another site with a huge amount also!
In the log file (joined) I have these messages:
[120926 16:17:02] PHP WARNING on line 270 in file <root>/administrator/components/com_akeeba/akeeba/drivers/mysqli.php:
[120926 16:17:02] Error while sending QUERY packet. PID=16445

Excuse my english.

I have the same problem with another site.
The size of the file on my personal cloud is 469.1 meg and on the site after the backup and without visible error, I had a file size of 450.61 with obsolete.

The line in the log file attached is:
[120926 16:39:33] PHP WARNING on line 270 in file <root>/administrator/components/com_akeeba/akeeba/drivers/mysqli.php:
[120926 16:39:33] Error while sending QUERY packet. PID=23873

According to your log file you do not have a problem:
DEBUG |120926 16:37:31|AEPostprocFtp:: Connecting to remote FTP

INFO |120926 16:39:33|Finished post-processing file /home/aeetee/domains/aeetee.ca/backup/site-aeetee.ca-20120926-163506.jpa

The FTP transfer took 122 seconds. For a 472497730 bytes archive that's normal. It's an average of 3.7Mb/s – indicating somewhere between 30 and 35 MBit/s connection between the two servers.

The next two lines in the log:
WARNING |120926 16:39:33|PHP WARNING on line 270 in file <root>/administrator/components/com_akeeba/akeeba/drivers/mysqli.php:

WARNING |120926 16:39:33|Error while sending QUERY packet. PID=23873

are irrelevant to the FTP transfer. What happens is this. The transfer takes too long to complete. During the transfer there is no database activity going on. It seems that after a while (which is definitely less than 2 minutes) the database server closes the connection. This causes the error message you see and also causes the backup to be listed as Obsolete instead of Remote. There are two ways to fix this:
- Ask your host to edit their my.cnf and change the wait_timeout to 180
- Use the Part Size for Split Archives option in Akeeba Backup Configuration to split your archives to smaller parts which get transferred faster. Something like 15-20Mb should work.
