Hi Nicholas,

I've created a profile in Akeeba for uploading my backups to Amazon S3, and I'm using cron to trigger the backup process. Now when the backup is made using this profile, the resulting backup is way smaller (28 mb) than a manually started backup with the default profile or a cron invoked backup using a profile for Dropbox storage (both 648 mb). As far as I can see, the settings for all three profiles are the same, except for the destination of the backup files. So I'm puzzled by these results.

Hope you can help me,

Kind regards, Frits

If you are using the "Process each part immediately" option then the reported size is wrong. In order to determine the correct size you should download the backup parts of this particular backup and see their total size. This is a limitation having to do with the way the "Process each part immediately" feature works.

Well why couldn't I think of a check like this by myself... Indeed the size of the backup files is correct.

Thanks, Frits

You hadn't seen that happening an adequately large number of times so as to not be startled by the huge size difference and think about checking the total size using a different way. That's why we're here providing support :)
