Akeeba Backup version: 3.6.3

Description of my issue:
When I perform a backup using the backend interface everything works fine and the files upload to Amazon no problem. However, when I use command line the DB has 0bytes of data and the error log shows these errors:

I believe this is related to a bugfix which will be included in version 3.6.4:
# [MEDIUM] Opening MySQL and MySQLi connections could sometimes fail

It has been fixed in the latest dev release (which is actually a release candidate for 3.6.4). Can you please install and verify that it now works?

Hello, the link you provided doesn't actually show any downloads. I looked through the downloads area and didn't see anything there either with 3.6.4

I am not sure what you are looking for, but the downloads are there and do show up. Please look at the attached image.

Since these are development releases they will of course not have the same version number as the stable release. It would be idiotic for me to have the dev release called "3.6.4" and then release version 3.6.4. If the user told me that they have "version 3.6.4" which one would they mean? The dev release I published 3 weeks ago and had only one bug fix? One of the dozen dev releases I published in the meantime? Or the official 3.6.4 release? It would make support impossible. Therefore all dev releases have versions like "svn1692" with the latest version listed on top. And since they are dev releases they are always listed as "Alpha" –despite their real development status– to scare off careless users trying to download the wrong version.

Wow, is all I can say. I don't know what prompted that tyrade, but I don't think I deserved that rant at all. I assure you I was not making up the fact that the link you sent earlier went nowhere (and I checked more than once). Oddly, it now works fine. That's all I needed - not a lecture :/

Uh? I guess there's a misunderstanding here. I was just explaining my dev release version numbering policy and why all dev releases are all labelled "Alpha". I did so because I thought that was the source of the confusion in the first place. I didn't want to just reply "Look again at the page to which I already provided a link" because that would be rude.
