Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I searched the tickets before posting? Yes, but did not find similar problem
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes, but did not find similar problem
Joomla! version: 2.5.6
PHP version: 5.4.4
MySQL version: 5.5.25
Host: localhost
Akeeba Backup version: 3.6.3

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
I had installed version 3.6.2, which i hadn't made any backup with. I then uploaded to the latest 3.6.3 when i saw the "update" icon before making my backup.
Since then, i always get the fallowing error:
AEAbstractDump :: Database Error: Table 'xxx.xxx_akeebasubs_levelgroups' doesn't exist SQL=SHOW CREATE TABLE `g8mzs_akeebasubs_levelgroups`

I tried to re-install over the existing install but the problem remain, i also tried uninstalling first, and re-install but the problem persist.

I'm not sure if i should create the table or not manually but i don't know the structure.

Thanks for your help

Hm, this looks like either a failed update or a database error. Let's try fixing both.

First, please try removing the following folders:
- administrator/components/com_akeeba EXCEPT the administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup directory and the administrator/components/com_akeeba/akeeba/serverkey.php file. If you remove that directory and that file you will lose your existing backups and/or settings.
- components/com_akeeba
- administrator/modules/mod_akadmin
- media/com_akeeba
- plugins/system/plg_srp
- plugins/system/plg_akeebaupdatecheck
- plugins/system/plg_aklazy
- plugins/system/plg_oneclickaction
Now you can re-install Akeeba Backup.

If this still leads to backup failure, please use Admin Tools' Repair and Optimise DB Tables to fix any database issues, e.g. crashed tables, which may be causing this issue.

If all else fails, please ZIP and attach the new backup log file.

Hi,

I followed your suggestions to the T but i still get an error. Even after using the Admin Tools to repair and optimize DB Tables
I attached the new log file. But i have a felling it's a DB problem. I've been having some strange behavior since i moved my DB from my old laptop which i was using MAMP 1.9.x to my new one using MAMP 2.1.1.
Problem is that the MAMP forum is not helpful at all. I wish they were as efficient as you guys.

I know it's out of the scope of support, but do you know any trick or reference site that can help with corrupted DB. Rebuilding the entire website would be such a major pain and loss of time/work.

Thanks in advance.

Have a great holiday.

Cheers

Just to check something.

is it normal that ak_profiles ,ak_stats, ak_storage as well as all admintools tables are all InnoDB type and not MyISAM?
I'm not versed in MySQL, i just know some basic stuff.

Using InnoDB instead of MyISAM is to be expected; it's the default db engine in newer versions of MySQL. Hm, regarding this issue, I'm not sure if/how I can help. You can try backing up all of your databases using phpMyAdmin or Sequel Pro, keep a copy of your files, uninstall & reinstall MAMP and restore the site files and databases to the new MAMP installation.

FWIW, I am using the MySQL server included in Zend Server CE even when using MAMP to test different PHP version. I have never really tried bare-bones MAMP, so I'm not entirely sure if there's something in its MySQL configuration which you should tweak :(
