EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

I was not aware that my version of Php is no longer supported when I installed the Akeeba Backup Professional 3.6.2 update. I should have read your release notes. My host is not updating Php anytime soon. Can I simply uninstall the current version of Akeeba and re-install the previous version? Can I download the previous version?

Thank you.

PHP 5.2 * * * I S S U P P O R T E D * * * by Akeeba Backup 3.6.2. The warning message is there to let you know that in the future it will not be. You CAN use Akeeba Backup 3.6.2 on PHP 5.2 without any problem whatsoever because I have TESTED it on PHP 5.2, 5.3 and 5.4 before release.

Well, I am absolutely sure that Akeeba Backup works on PHP 5.2 because I personally tested it on PHP 5.2.17, PHP 5.3.14, PHP 5.3.15 and PHP 5.4.4. I agree with you that the way the warning is rendered is very annoying and confuses people. Please take a look at the latest dev release. I am going to release it today as Akeeba Backup 3.6.3 and DEFINITELY works on PHP 5.2 In fact, I just finished testing it on all of my PHP 5.2 sites, local and live. If you still get a backup error please ZIP and attach your log file so that I can help you with your backup issue.

Uh, I forgot to also say that the permissions message is a bug and it's also fixed in the dev release I linked to.
