EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
Backend hangs with blank page when trying to upload new extension. I've tried two different extensions several time and encounter the same issue. It appears that Akeeba is trying to do a backup, but it never does anything. The following link is in the address bar after clicking "Extensions Manager > Browse > Upload & Install": index.php?option=com_akeeba&view=installer&task=extract&750c80b814241e44cb22587189f53bfc=1

Due to the high number of false bug reports regarding Akeeba Backup's System Restore Points feature we have issued a clarification article which includes troubleshooting instructions. Please follow the instructions on that article. If you still have an issue despite following the instructions in the linked article, please follow its instructions for submitting a new support request which will include the information necessary for us to provide support. Thank you for your understanding.

PS: Akeeba Backup Professional 3.6.2 was tested on PHP 5.3 and 5.4 with Joomla! 2.5.6 before release. We have confirmed that the System Restore Points feature works as expected. If you have a problem with the SRP feature, please disable the plugin and install the component again, without uninstalling your existing version.
