Mandatory information about my setup:

Joomla! version: 1.5.26
PHP version: 5
MySQL version: not sure
Akeeba Backup version: 3
Website: KLEM 1410.com and KSCJ.com

Description of my issue:
I was able to backup both my sites last night, but now this morning when I go to the Administration backend page, I get redirected to the homepage and I am unable to edit/update the website.

Please help.

Thanks!

Um, you are posting in the Akeeba Backup support area. I don't think Akeeba Backup has anything to do with this issue. Were you trying to ask for support for Admin Tools instead?

My question is about Akeeba Backup... It is the product I used... Everything was working fine until I uploaded the product and I did a backup on same login last night. Then this morning we cannot access the backend... It redirects us to the homepage when using the backend link... Could you please take a look into it? Im not sure if your product has caused this or if maybe it does not play friendly with another mod or component I have. But I appreciate any and all help!

Akeeba Backup does not modify your site when taking a backup. What you describe –and I confirm visiting your site– is certainly not the result of taking a backup of your site. So, let's try helping you :)

I think that you have simply configured a secret word in Admin Tools, jSecure or another security extension and this is what is performing the redirection. If you have reasons to believe it's Admin Tools (well, if you ask me, I think this may be it) please follow the troubleshooting instructions to gain access to your site and go to Admin Tools, Web Application Firewall, Configure WAF. Take a look at the "Administrator secret URL parameter" option.

Thanks for the help! It triggered a old installation of jSecure that was not in use... But I was able to get it cleared up and I am all set. Thanks for the help!
