Mandatory information about my setup:

Joomla! version: 2.5.6
PHP version: 5.2.7
MySQL version: 5
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Akeeba Backup version: 3.6.1

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue: I have searched the forums, followed the instructions but still not able to setup more than one website to update to Dropbox using the same token and security key.

What I have found worked once is:
Setup site A, do both steps for Dropbox
Setup site B, do both setps for Dropbox but now use transfer sites B's token & security key to A, then both works. If I don't do but authetication steps on B it gives errror "You have not linked Akeeba Backup with your DropBox account"

I need to set this up for 8 sites but if this is the method (still to test C) that would mean I have to update every site after adding a new one.

You should be able to copy the authentication tokens from Site A to sites B, C, D, E and so on. Did you try that and it didn't work?

Hello,

Yes I have tried that with sites on the same server and on other servers.

Yes, that's actually a bug. There should be three things being copied: token, token secret key and User ID. The latter is not visible and can't be copied, resulting in the problem you described. I have just published a new dev release to fix that issue. Please install it on all of your sites.

On Site A follow the regular two-step Dropbox authentication. Then on each and every other site please copy the token, token secret key and user ID without going through the authentication. It will now work.
