Joomla! version: 2.5.6
PHP version: 5.3.9
MySQL version: 5.1.63-cll
Host: (local wamp server...)
Akeeba Backup version: 3.6.1 Pro

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
1. I made a backup on my local wamp server (from folder hum2-5_2012-07)
2. I restored it on our live server a week ago
3. I updated the global log and temp location on the live server to the correct location (/home/humanive/public_html/hum2-5/tmp and /home/humanive/public_html/hum2-5/logs)
4. I made a backup of our live server
5. When I try to restore it on my local wamp server again in the folder hum2-5_2012-08 I get the error message:

Could not open C:/wamp/www/hum2-5_2012-08/administrator/C:/wamp/www/hum2-5_2012-07/tmp/phpWF5xTx for writing.

It looks like there still is a reference to an old tmp folder from the first local wamp installation, but I don't understand where.... The temp folder on the live server is empty.

Any idea what to do?

I could open and restore it on my local wamp serer with the Extract Wizard.

I also looked in the log file and see that the backup creates folders which where in the previous wamp folder, and that I don't understant why....?

I don't see anything strange in your backup log file. It's a regular backup. No strange paths or anything in the like. What I do understand, based on your error messages, is that the restored site's temporary directory is pointing to somewhere which doesn't make any sense. There are a few ways to fix that:
1. restore the site again, during the second to last step of the restoration check the "use directories under my new site's root" checkbox which will fix the tmp and cache directories for you
2. edit the configuration.php file directly and change the tmp and log paths to something which makes sense
3. go to global configuration and change the temporary paths
