Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I searched the tickets before posting?yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? yes
Joomla! version: 2.5
PHP version: (unknown)
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Akeeba Backup version: 3.6.1 +svn1647

Description of my issue:

Just want to inform, that there are browser-based issues if profile items are not shown in Profile Manager, that could appear in Chrome only (Port-error), not in Safari or Firefox (others not tested); the attachment picture shows the explicitly Chrome Port-error why not showing items.

This is not thrown by Akeeba Backup's code. FYI, I develop my components on Mac OS X Mountain Lion using an always up-to-date Chrome. Only after this initial development do I test the software on other server environments and browsers.

1. definitly there is a chrome bug in the Chrome to Phone App (see on Google-Chrome-Develop)
2. by deactivating or deleting the app the effect has not gone
3.must be any php.ini parameter , which causes Chrome (!) -not other browsers - to bring effect (tested with various test-sites on same Chrome in various tabs) - php-Version not relevant, on vserver-sites on which you can set PHP-ini direct =OK, on managed servers it´s a harder way
4. yes, it´s not akeeba-code
5. because relevance is low (if you know, to take another browser, if changing or copying profile-name, adding is OK - we will no longer search - therfore closing thread

That's really strange because I am, too, using the Google Chrome extension to send pages to mobile devices (the thing which installs the small mobile phone icon to the right of the address bar) and can't replicate this issue. I actually had to check Chrome across all my devices: Mac OS X, Windows 7, Ubuntu Linux 12.04. Nope, can't replicate the issue. Very strange. Maybe your Chrome installation is FUBAR?
