EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:


Starting a backup with webcron.org gives a 403 error.
I'm not using RS Firewall, only Admin Tools

Admin Tools, naturally, does not block Akeeba Backup's front-end backup URL. The 403 may mean several things:
  • You are using sh404SEF, AceSEF or another SEF component which is intercepting the front-end backup URL and modifies the request. Please consult the SEF component's developer for instructions on turning off SEF URLs for Akeeba Backup
  • You have provided the wrong Secret Word. Please note that it is case sensitive, i.e. Abc, ABC and abc are three different words.
  • You have forgotten to enable the front-end backup feature.
