Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? yes
Have I searched the tickets before posting? yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? yes
Joomla! version: 1.6
PHP version: (unknown)
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Akeeba Backup version: (3.5.2)

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
I just tried to install akeeba backup 3.5.2 into joomla 1.6 (i now now its not compatible! However I now have the error message Fatal error: Call to undefined method JDatabaseMySQL::qn() in /homepages/25/d179243549/htdocs/cambusinn/tmp/install_4ffb49f0dbba2/script.akeeba.php on line 481.

I note you say that the fix to this is on the release notes however I have as yet been unable to locate the information. Can you please advise how I can resolve this issue.

You cannot install this version on Joomla! 1.6. Furthermore, Joomla! 1.6 is not supported any more. You can install an older, unsupported version at your own risk. For more info click at the Compatibility link at the bottom of every page on out site. The compatible version depends on both your Joomla! and PHP version.

Thanks for the response telling me I cant install this version on 1.6. I now know this as I have an error and a broken admin.

My question was how do I fix this or where do I find information that may help me.

In order to work around that, you will have to perform some manual work. Remove the following folders:
- administrator/components/com_akeeba EXCEPT the administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup directory and the administrator/components/com_akeeba/akeeba/serverkey.php file. If you remove that directory and that file you will lose your existing backups and/or settings.
- components/com_akeeba
- administrator/modules/mod_akadmin
- media/com_akeeba
- plugins/system/plg_srp
- plugins/system/plg_akeebaupdatecheck
- plugins/system/plg_aklazy
- plugins/system/plg_oneclickaction
Now you can install an Akeeba Backup version compatible with your site. Normally that should be version 3.2.7.
