Hello Nicholas,

I had my backup directory outside from public_html, under domain root. Now I tried to change it to domainroot/akeebabackups and moved the backupfiles and akeeba log manually. Then I changed the path in akeeba to the new directory, but akeeba doesnt recognize the moved backupfiles. I showes me still the files, but as not longer needed backups. Is there a trick to get akeeba recognizing the moved backupfiles in the new directory?

Thank you

best regards,
Johannes

Akeeba Backup stores the absolute path of backup archives in its database table. If you move your files, it can no longer find them. I believe you'd like to use the Import feature to have Akeeba Backup re-discover them and allow you to use them.

You're welcome! It's not a very popular feature, but it's very handy :)
