Description of my issue:

Recently, I have received a confusing set of messages associated with Restore Points when I upgrade extensions on the various Web sites I manage (with Akeeba Backup & Admin Tools). On the one hand, I see a message telling me that the installation succeeded.

Huzzah

On the other hand, right above the "Success!" message is another message banner with this error repeated in red ink (I love red ink):

JFile: :copy: Cannot find or read file: $/path/public_html/clontzancestry/administrator/components/com_akeeba/index.html
JFile: :copy: Cannot find or read file: $/path/public_html/clontzancestry/administrator/components/com_akeeba/index.html

Occasionally, such as with one instance of an upgrade to jDownloads, the upgrade was initially reported as successful. But, when that message cleared and Restore Points should have taken me back to the Extensions Manager, I received an error message stating:

Install path does not exist

With these instances, I switch back to the native Joomla installer and repeat the installation. That has, so far, always worked.

So, any ideas, Nicholas?

Thanks in advance.
