Description of my issue:

Good evening Nicholas

For about five days we are trying to get a cron job working.
Without success

Hence the cry for help

The log gives this:

[120530 19:50:32] Kettenrad :: Attempting to load from database (backend)
[120530 19:50:32] -- Stored Akeeba Factory (backend) not found - hard reset
[120530 19:50:33]

enclosed you find a zip containing the log and the cronjob settings.
As you see we have tried for both the script and the alt script...
and both in php, wget and curl (just 2 b sure)

thanks, dick

The curl and wget lines will not work because these are command line scripts, as detailed in our documentation. The other PNG you sent me is corrupt, I can't open it. The log file you sent was from the backend origin, not the CLI origin. The other two command lines are too many. You need one OR the other NOT both. Having both will not work. Keep the one with akeeba-backup.php. I am not sure what is the path to the PHP CLI binary on your server. If it is not /usr/local/bin/php then of course the CRON job will not execute. Ask your host about it. If the PHP binary you are using is the PHP CGI (not CLI) binary then the CRON job will also not work.
