Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Have I searched the tickets before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Joomla! version: (1.5.26)
PHP version: (5.2.17)
MySQL version: (5.0.91)
Host: (1and1)
Akeeba Backup version: (3.4.3)

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
Since there are no more updates for Akeeba 3.4.3 using Joomla 1.5.26, how can I disable those annoying (yet very helpful in J 2.5) update emails. I'm constantly getting update emails and assume that I'm unable to update Akeeba with my older sites.

btw, unable to attach log file:
JFile: :read: Unable to open file:
Warning: Failed to move file!
Server error while uploading the attachment; please retry

Thanks

You can unpublish the System - Akeeba Backup Update Check plugin. That's the one sending the update emails :)

Found it! Sorry, should have found that on my own. Thanks for the prompt reply Nicholas.

No problem! That info is buried in a small note in the documentation and only clearly visible if you read through the update notification email. After the upteenth time of receiving said email I doubt anyone would read it top to bottom :)
