I really don't have much experience with Windows Server, but I believe the Microsoft equivalent of CRON jobs is called Scheduled Tasks. Setting up such a scheduled task should require you to log in with Administrator rights in your server and create said task. If this is not possible you'll have to ask your host. Due to the lack of standardised control panels for Windows-based servers it's nigh impossible for me to provide exact steps for creating scheduled tasks.

IMHO, it's much easier if you just use webcron.org and the front-end backup URL as described in the "Automating your Backups" section of our documentation.

Thanks for your quick respond. I'll check out the webcron.org way.

I'm using the pro version of akeeba. Is webcron still the best solution?

If you can't find a way to set up a scheduled task on your Windows server, webcron.org is the best solution. Obviously, if you can get a scheduled task working, using the cli/akeeba-backup.php script is the optimal solution.
