EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

I agree that something doesn't work, but I have no idea what you tried to do before you got that message. Would you mind elaborating?

I did a fresh install on my offline site(www.xxx.com/DWF) to test the backup system. After the install, I tried to launch the component and received the 403 error.

On the same server, under the root directory I have successfully installed the same version of Akeeba Backup Professional 3.4.3 (2012-03-21) and everything is working properly.

I suppose you try to install Akeeba Backup Professional 3.4.3 on that site which doesn't work. Is that correct?

The version I tried installing is com_akeeba-3.4.3-pro

OK. First make sure that you are logged in as a Super Administrator. If you are an Administrator or Manager it will not even load. If that doesn't help, please try uninstalling and reinstalling the component.

That was it, I was logged in as Admin and not Super Admin!! No reinstalling necessary.
