Description of my issue:
Selecting "Update to the latest version" I get these errors:

JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file
Invalid package type. The update can not proceed.

Thank you.

This sounds like a problem with your site setup. You will have to follow the manual update procedure: download Akeeba Backup Core 3.5.0 and install it through Extensions, Install/Uninstall. If this doesn't work, please follow the installation troubleshooting instructions, especially the parts regarding the temp-directory and FTP.

Important note: After a successful installation you will get four red error messages about "Path is not a folder" and it will show the four plugins as not installed. This is normal and is a cosmetic bug on my part.
