Description of my issue:

Just a quick question. I have quite a few Joomla 1.5 installations that I will be systematically upgrading. Until I get them all done, is there any negative consequence of disabling the System - Akeeba Backup Update Check plug in so that it won't keep reminding me to update, since the 3.5 updates are not compatible with the Joomla 1.5 system?

Thanks
Eric

Hi Eric,

Since Akeeba Backup 3.4.3 is most likely the last Akeeba Backup release compatible with Joomla! 1.5 it should be OK disabling the notifications plugin. Just keep an eye on our Twitter stream and our front page in case we release a bugfix or a security release till the end of August.
