Hello again,

I have managed to install the akeeba backup fix you posted a few minutes ago. However I still appear to have problems logging in to the admin page.

I have subsequently renamed the administrator/modules/mod_akadmin by appending _001 to it. This allows me to login to the admin end but clicking on the update button in akeeba invokes a new error message http://mywebsite.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_akeeba&view=liveupdate now says:

403 - An error has occurred.
You are not authorised to view this resource.

What do I do?

Are you logging in as a Super Administrator or a different user level, e.g. Administrator? I would expect to see something like that if you log in as Administrator. In this case you have not adequate privileges to view the update page.

I login as super admin and I am able to do everything else after renaming the administrator/modules/mod_akadmin.

The update tab does show that akeeba is unto date but just wanted to confirm that its working correctly.

Yes, it should be OK. Please try taking a new backup. That's the ultimate test. Everything else is just secondary features which will be slowly and steadily fixed over the next few weeks (that's why this version is still called an alpha). If the backup doesn't work, then that's a problem we have to address immediately.
