Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? No
Joomla! version: 1.5.26
PHP version: 5.2.8
MySQL version: 5.0.95
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Akeeba Backup version: (unknown)

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue: Hi, on 2 of my sites, whenever I go to akeeba backup, it takes me directly to Post Installation Configuration and when I select enable system restore points or enable automatic akeeba backup update emails and click on apply these preferences, it just stays there only. When I select run configuration wizard, it goes to the wizard.

Can you please advice what could be wrong.

Hello Gulam,

This sounds like a cached redirection in your browser. Don't worry, it happens all the time. Log out from your site, clear your browser's cache and cookies storage, quite the browser, restart it and then log back in to your site and go to Akeeba Backup. It should now display the component's control panel page.

Hi Nicholas,

Thanks for your usual prompt response.

I had suspected this and tried to clear the cache/cookies. In fact I tried another PC, with firefox cleared the cache, it didn't work. Tried IE, cleared the cache and tried but same problem.

The other possibility is that something is stuck in the database. Can you try uninstalling and reinstalling Akeeba Backup? Please note that by uninstalling Akeeba Backup will lose your settings and the backups in the default backup output directory (administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup) will be deleted.
