I have looked through the documentation and searched the forums...

We are using Akeeba Backup Pro 3.4.3 and we are using Dropbox to store our backups.

For some reason old versions of our backups are being kept even though we are well over the quota I set for testing. I enabled remote file quotas and set the count quota to "3.00"...

We are using a CRON job to handle the backups.

What could I possibly be missing?

Thanks

I tried it again, after reading your ticket, across different servers and two different Dropbox accounts. In all cases it works perfectly if you have enabled the remote file quotas and set the count quota to 3. However, there is a small pitfall here. If you enable the day quotas (which prescribe that the X latest backups and the backups backups on the Yth day of the month must be kept) then all other quotas are overridden. Moreover, quotas will only work for backups listed in the Administer Backup Files page as Remote and are taken with Akeeba Backup 3.4.0 or later.

Thank you for your fast response! You made the point about the day quota so I looked into it. It was checked. I disabled it and everything works just like I expected. Thanks for a GREAT product and even better service.
