First, please upgrade to Akeeba Backup 3.4.3, which is the latest published version. Run the Configuration Wizard in order to let Akeeba Backup try to configure itself for your server. Then, retry backing up.

If this problem persists after the configuration wizard run, please follow the troubleshooting steps outlined in https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/troubleshooter/abbackup.html

If that didn't help, try using the following settings in Akeeba Backup's configuration:
- Minimum execution time: 5 seconds
- Maximum execution time: 3 seconds
- Runtime bias: 50%

If all else fails, please tell me which of the steps above you've already tried and ZIP and attach your new log file.
