Hi,
How do I get akeeba to backup my cgi-bin directory? It is always automatically excluded!

Thank you,
Salim

Hello Salim,

You can use the Off-Site Directories Inclusion to specify that the cgi-bin directory should be backed up. Please note that during restoration the contents of the cgi-bin will be restored inside the external_files/cgi-bin directory. This is done on purpose. You will have to move those files manually, e.g. using an FTP application. The reason is that most of the times the cgi-bin directory is not directly writeable and trying to automatically restore it causes the restoration to fail. That's why it is automatically excluded in the first place :)
