Host: vps server
Akeeba Backup version: 3.4.2

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
Hi when i go into the component it has the update found icon but when i click on it and go to update it comes up with this message
'Downloading the update package failed. Make sure that your temp-directory is writable or that you have enabled Joomla!'s FTP options in your site's Global Configuration.'
Ive searched for a solution but have yet to find one...
Any Ideas

Hello Chris,

Please follow these instructions first. If that doesn't work, please try following the instructions in the error message, i.e. check that your temporary directory is writable or enable Joomla!'s FTP mode.
