In one of my former tickets

I have given some hints, how a STRATO Managed Server should be set up, in order to avoid the "No Input File Specified"-message in the backend of Joomla!.

In the meatime, I have discovered that it is not necessary to apply this setup (PHP5.3 + CGI + eaccelerator) to the whole Joomla! Installation. It is rather sufficient, if these settings are only applied to the folder

components/com_akeeba
(NOT: administrator/components/com_akeeba)

I have clicked on nearly every button and link in the backend and it´s working. It is mysterious, but it is working ...

That's strange, because there are no directly executable files in that directory and that option applies only to files which are DIRECTLY executable (accessed over the web, not through Joomla!'s index.php file).

Aaaargh! The error has returned after a while :-(

The next thing that I am going to try, is setting the whole administrator folder to CGI+eaccelerator+PHP5.3. At least this should make it, especially since the error only appears in the backend of Joomla!.

My report will follow ...

Yes, this works, i. e. by setting the administrator folder to CGI+eaccelerator+PHP5.3 the "No Input File Specified" message disappears!

The good news (probably already expexted by Nicholas):
The problem is not caused by the components AKEEBA BACKUP and ADMINS TOOLS in the administrator folder, since I have checked this too.

I already knew it, but it's difficult for me to state that and not sound biased! Or as if I,m trying to get rid of a tough case :)
