Akeeba Backup version: (3.4.1 -- the latest one!)

Description of my issue:

Nicholas,

The CRON backups for Akeeba Backup Pro with Amazon S3 is performing very well. Kudos for your efforts!

The CRON launches /administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup.php.

This file outputs information that is included in the body of the email the CRON sends me.

My question: does this information specify "error" if the upload to Amazon S3 fails? Or, is "error" reported if the actual backup itself fails?

If this is in your documentation, but I missed it, my apologies.

Many thanks for your fine Akeeba Backup extension!
-Bob

Do you see any warning or error message? If you don't there is no error. If you see a warning or an error, it's a warning or an error and it tells you exactly what the warning or error is.

Yikes, 23 minutes to reply! Gee, Nicholas, could you be faster next time!

Oh no, no warning or errors. No worries!

Scenario:
* Akeeba Backup itself successful
* post processing upload to Amazon S3 fails

Would an "error" be reported in the email the CRON sends me?

LoL! If you have an error it will be present in that text. That text is exactly the same as what is presented on your screen when backing up through the frontend. If there's a WARNING (all caps, that's how Amazon S3 errors are notices) it will be present there in the output. If a fatal error occurs, there will be no backup completion message. That's enough to build Gmail rules.

Awesome, much obliged!

Will have not one, but two filters for gmail:

(1) one for the word "error";

(2) one for the word "WARNING".

Again, thank you!
