Description of my issue:
Hello, I am a new Akeeba user and am unsure how to keep more than 3 OK backups available. After each backup concludes it obsoletes one of the previous good backups. I see settings for number of obsoletes to keep but not for number of "OK" to keep around. I did check documentation but was unable to find obsolete in the table of contents. Thanks

Hello Michael,

A backup becomes obsolete when the backup archive is removed from your server. This happens in three cases:
  1. You have manually deleted the backup archive with the Delete Files button in Akeeba Backup or by removing the files using an FTP programme
  2. You are using backup archive post-processing (e.g. transfer to Amazon S3) and the default option which is to delete the backup after it's transferred
  3. You have set up count or size quotas, which means that older backup archives are removed automatically

I believe that the third case is what's going on. I'd suggest taking a look at your Configuration page and check if you have enabled such quotas. The way each of the quota options works is fully documented (tip: use the Help button in Akeeba Backup's toolbar).
