Description of my issue:

Hi,

after installation of Akeeba Backup in the backend, whenever I have clicked on one of the options in the main menue of JOOMLA a blank page with only one message showed up:

No Input file specified

After a while, it worked again and the message does not appear any longer.

Has something gone wrong, so that I will have to reinstall the component?

Hi Netzy,

The "No input file specified" is an error message coming from your web server and indicates a misconfiguration of CGI or FastCGI, which is used to load PHP files. Apparently, your host was doing some work on the server which didn't have the results they expected, then fixed it. That's why for a while nothing worked and then suddenly everything works again.

Akeeba Backup's installation is as related to this issue as solar flares (yep, that's humour, of the geeky kind).
