Please read the fine manual very carefully. I've personally documented everything. Quoting the manual:

""On the top of the page you can find a tool bar with operations buttons. The Delete button will remove the selected backup attempt entries along with their backup archives (if applicable), whereas the Delete Files button will only remove the files (if found on your server).""

On the top of the page you can find a tool bar with operations buttons. The Delete button will remove the selected
backup attempt entries along with their backup archives (if applicable), whereas the Delete Files button will only remove
the files (if found on your server). The Restore button (Akeeba Backup Professional only) will run the integrated
restoration feature for the selected archive file. This feature can be used to restore your backup archive on the same
server you backed up from or even a different server (live transfer of your site to another host!). The Discover and
Import Archives (available since Akeeba Backup Professional 3.2) allows you to import any ZIP, JPA or JPS file in
the Administer Backup Files page in order to restore it on this or any other site.

above is how it reads in the pdf. the doc is 130 some pages. plus the startup doc
it is not indexed. these words are button comands in tour componant and they are not in the collem nor are they bold or underlined or anything i did a search on your site for the words delete and delete file with no return. i admit i missed it but you did not make it easy to find. i am not upset that it was hard to find but i needed to know so i asked. i will also tell you that i paid for pro even though i run for free a small club site because i know you guts do a lot of work and i think if i am to benifit i should pay you. what i dont think is fair is that you should be upset that i couldnt find it. would you prefer that i break something from misunderstanding . it is not like i am asking something all the time

i have reviewed my tickets.
one was because i had trouble subscribing

the other was to see if you could convert the subscriptio component to a club dues collection system with member records for the admin much of what you would do th manage a subscription
which if you could i would also pay for that and you would be the only one doing it

this is the only real support question a have asked in the year

OK, you took it too personally and so should I. Look. You wrote:
no docs to explain the difference between delete and delete file button
This implies that you searched the documentation and made sure there is no such thing. Ergo my response to read the documentation more closely. What did you want me to say after you strongly stated a completely wrong statement?

above is how it reads in the pdf. the doc is 130 some pages. plus the startup doc
Last time I checked, Acrobat Reader and every other PDF viewer I have used has an amazing feature called Search. That's how I searched the documentation to find you the passage I pasted above. I opened both PDFs, used Search, typed "Delete Files" and ta-da! It took me 45 seconds.

it is not indexed

You do realise indexing is something required only for print publications. On electronic publications we have the exciting technology of Search to act as an index. Not to mention that every time I've used an index in a book, I seemed to be looking for the one page not in the index for the particular keyword I am looking for.

these words are button comands in tour componant and they are not in the collem nor are they bold or underlined or anything

I have no idea what a "collem" is. Anyway, regarding the typesetting, the words are marked up as buttons. The actual typesetting is performed using the default options of DocBook XSLT filters. If you know of any XML-FO and XSLT expert who could help me modify the typesetting generated for PDF files you are welcome to introduce them to me.

i did a search on your site for the words delete and delete file with no return
The search on this site is designed to favour searching tickets first, because the majority of searches are for real issues, not for a documentation term. I can't swap this around for extremely infrequent uses like yours, that would increase the support requests.

you did not make it easy to find

The only reason I am providing a PDF file is because it's searchable. I can't make it any easier to find, sorry.

what i dont think is fair is that you should be upset that i couldnt find it

Upset? Are you kidding me? I'm not upset. You said there were no documentation regarding what you were looking for and I merely told you that you should read our fine manual (that's how I always refer to the User's Guide + Quick Start Guide combo) more carefully. If I were upset I'd tell you "Don't lie, you just ought to RTFM" or something. I don't get it. What did you expect? A soap opera dialog in the style of "Dear user, I am deeply regretful that you were unable to find the information you were looking for seeking in the vast expanse of our documentation. If you would please excuse me for this suggestion, you might want to consult this documentation page where yours truly has already written what these buttons do since approximately four years ago. For your convenience please find attached the relevant passage". I won't do that. First, it's so hypocritical and passive-aggressive I want to puke. Second, I replied to you at 23:21 UTC, that's 1:21 a.m. in the middle of the night my time.

I am sorry that you feel that way. Next time you ask a documentation question I will respond with nothing but a documentation link (even though I am sure that any reply would upset you) and most certainly I won't be replying outside of my normal working hours (7:30-15:00 GMT).

actualy a simple link to the info i missed would have been fine even it is on page so or so

i had a backup withe a known error in it i and i am re building a site from scratch so yes after missing it in a 160 page doc i did ask for help

again it is a b button cammand look at all the hbold indexing and collem words you have in this doc dont you think someone reading that 160 pages for the meaning of 2 commands would expect somthing that important to be treated the same way

i have already admitted i missed it and i am not perfect

you want a subject line shouldnt it be what the problem is i would prefere to just explain it but you want a sub line that succinctly discribes the problem

and as far as i see it i will be sending you 100 us for the rest of my life or more

so if i need one ? answered when i am under pressure why is it a problem i know you are a programm9ng genius but keep in mind all of us are not

you think i am stupid for spending 3-4 hrs and still not finding the ans but what did it take you 30 sec again if i asked you somthing stupid every day then get mad at me i am wasting your time but come on 1 question

Sorry, I don't really understand your post in its entirety, so I might just reply only to the parts I understand.

I don't expect all of you to be programming geniuses. I don't want you to be. If you were, I'd be out of business :D

I didn't say you are wasting my time. I think you got me wrong from the start. I understood that you searched the docs and didn't find what you were looking for, that's why I gave you the link and the passage in the first place.

Moreover, the documentation is laid out in a very logical fashion which I expected you to realise with the link I gave you. Hint: Documentation -> Component X User's Guide -> Using Component X -> Page Title. It's easy to find out what the documentation page for Administer Backup Files is and search inside it. Furthermore, each page in Akeeba Backup has a help icon in the toolbar. Clicking on it, opens the documentation page for that particular page. All you have to do is use it, then hit CTRL-F (Windows, Linux) or CMD-F (Mac OS X) and start searching on the documentation page. I've made the documentation extremely easy to use from within the component. And I want to give you hints which will let you understand that and let you use the fine manual effectively. I haven't written the documentation just to forget about it. I wrote it in a way which makes it very searchable, as a reference guide. All you need is use the Search feature of your browser or PDF reader. That's what I am saying all along.
