Joomla! version: 2.5.1
PHP version: 5.2.17
MySQL version: 5.0.92-community
Host: Rochen
Akeeba Backup version: 3.3.13

No issue, but a general question. I'm working on a CRON job to automate the process of backing up websites using Akeeba Backup.

Is it possible to do something similar to automate the upgrade process for both Admin Tools and Akeeba Backup?

If so, would I use WGET or PHP? Or would both of them work? How would that command line look?

Thanks!

The closest thing to that is Akeeba Backup's automatic updates using Remote CLI. It comes with full instructions and it's free :) I don't have anything in the like for Admin Tools. The closest thing is turning on the update notification emails and clicking on the email link every time there's a new release.
